** VERY IMPORTANT **
FROM THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY-TREASURER’S DESK
Any member who had lost time wages working at the Union Hall this past year and was paid by Local 450 must turn in a copy of their Profit Sharing statement that you’ll be receiving from Deere. We will calculate the amount of your Profit Sharing “Makeup” (if any) from your hours of lost time wages during the fiscal year. This will be paid out by December 31, 2022. Without a copy of your statement, the Local cannot calculate your “Makeup” pay, if any.
KEEP IN MIND If you are receiving a lost time, bonus makeup or expense check from the Local Union, please attempt to cash the checks in the same month as they were issued. Remember, our policy is that any check issued is good for only 90 days from the date written. After 90 days, the checks will be voided, and you will have to come to the Hall to have it reissued.
                         - James Kingery, Fin Secy/Treasurer -

CHAPLAIN CHAT by Curt Forney……
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment.  The next week, the man realized that he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight to Chicago.  Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (AND LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, “Please wake me at 5:00 AM.”  The next morning the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and that he had missed his flight.  Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn’t woken him when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.  The paper said, “It is 5:00 AM.  Wake up.”  Whenever two parties are at odds with each other, someone has to make the first move towards reconciliation.  Over 2000 years ago God made the first move.  On that first Christmas morning God gave the greatest Christmas gift ever.  The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son,…(John 3:16)  Merry Christmas everyone!
